Finalizing costume designs is matter-of-course for any blockbuster.  They go through hundreds of designs for main characters, and then those costumes are subjected to various tweaks and tests.  Something that looks good on the page may not work in three dimensions due to poor visual quality, constrictive movements, or other issues.  So this isn't really newsworthy except it comes from Batman vs. Superman, but some fans need to know every little detail no matter how minor.

Hit the jump for what Zack Snyder's longtime costume designer Michael Wilkinson had to say about the costumes.  The film stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Lawrence Fishburne, and possibly Jason Momoa and Joaquin PhoenixBatman vs. Superman opens July 17, 2015.

Wilkinson tells Cinemovie.tv [via CS]:

"We are now in the stage where we’re refining our designs with the last series of camera tests and doing our final tweaks in preparation for shooting."

Also, Superman's new costume from Man of Steel will be getting some tweaks.  As for Wonder Woman and Batman, they're getting entirely new looks.  That makes sense for Batman, but since this is Wonder Woman's first big screen iteration, I'm curious how much of a departure her costume will be from the comics.  Can a superhero wear a tiara in Snyder's serious world?
