Warner Bros. has unveiled a new trailer for director Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film picks up after the events of Man of Steel, as Henry Cavill’s Superman finds himself dealing with the repercussions of his collateral damage-heavy fight with General Zod and a world on edge. Ben Affleck’s Batman, meanwhile, comes out of the shadows to defend his city against this alien presence.

After the last trailer, which basically undercut the film's title fight by revealing how Bats and Supes will eventually come to terms to fight a bigger enemy, it's good to see the focus shift back toward the central superhero smackdown. No doubt, Batman v Superman is going to be a massive movie with no shortage of characters, but it's the epic battle between two all-time iconic superheroes that people are most excited for. It is the name of the movie, after all. Aside from a shot of Wonder Woman in civilian garb, there's not much new footage here, just a reminder that Batman and Superman are going to smack the hell out of eachother for your amusement very soon.

Batman v Superman also stars Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy, and Laurence Fishburne. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters on March 25, 2016. Watch the new trailer below.
