Warner Bros. has released a new Batman v Superman trailer for director Zack Snyder's upcoming DC Comics adaptation. The Man of Steel follow-up finds Henry Cavill’s Superman crossing paths with Ben Affleck’s Batman and a world full of superheroes, as well as a potentially formidable foe in Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor.

The bombast and epic scope is on full display, and that's to be expected.  But I also feel like this trailer is a bit all over the place.  There are some shots I love like Bruce Wayne seeing a building being destroyed and running into the debris cloud.  But then there's the conversation between Clark and Ma Kent, and I feel like, when paired with lessons from his dad, Superman's key character trait should be ambivalence.  Plus you have the requisite Christ imagery, although at least we’ll be seeing Superman save people, so that’s nice. The only thing that really jumps out at me is that even though we only see her a few snippets of footage, Wonder Woman looks terrific. But overall, I’m still not exactly sure what kind of film this will be.

Also, Affleck's reaction shot is your new go-to GIF.  Use it wisely:
