Netflix has released The Battered Bastards of Baseball trailer online.  Directed by Chapman Way and Maclain Way, the film chronicles Bonanza actor Bing Russell’s formation of the independent baseball team the Portland Mavericks and the ensuing confrontation with organized baseball.  I caught the film at Sundance, and it was a blast, and I'm glad it's coming to Netflix since it will give plenty of people the opportunity to see it.  Whether you're a sports fan or not, you can still connect to the rebel spirit of the team and how a bunch of misfits can win the heart of a city.
