First Set Photos of Taylor Kitsch in Peter Berg’s BATTLESHIP; plus More Images of Rihanna

A couple days ago, we posted the first images of Rihanna in Peter Berg’s Battleship.  Now, new images from the set have gone online and we have our first look at star Taylor Kitsch.  Kitsch plays Alex Hopper, a Naval commanders who is described as “wildly spirited” and “a great seaman but a lousy politician.”  What’s most shocking about these images: Kitsch has shaved off his shoulder-length locks for a sharp crew cut.

Did I mention that the film involves a battleship fighting aliens?  We don’t have images of the aliens.  That’s why I’m writing about an actor’s hairstyle.  Hit the jump to check out the set photos of Kitsch plus new shots of Rihanna.  Battleship, which is based on the classic Hasbro board game, co-stars Alexander Skarsgard and Brooklyn Decker and is due out on May 18, 2012.
