The first trailer for Peter Berg's Battleship has gone online.  After watching this trailer, I can't help but wonder if back in March the folks over at Universal were shaking their heads and thinking, "Man...I really wish Battleship had some out before Battle: Los Angeles."  Sure, some of the characters are different as you have the roguish Taylor Kitsch standing in for the battle-hardened Aaron Eckhart, but it all comes back to "We're fightin' the aliens fer realz."  The trailer's two biggest selling points are Brooklyn Decker's cleavage and the reveal of the aliens' spaceship.  I guess it's a good thing that audiences haven't already seen eight movies this year that revolve around Brooklyn Decker's cleavage.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer along with the teaser poster.  Battleship opens May 18, 2012.
