The two latest installments of the Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome prequel series have arrived (you can also catch up on Episodes 3 and 4). Â Blood and Chrome follows the pre-BSG exploits of Commander William Adama and takes places during the first Cylon war. Â The series picks up ten years into the war effort, where the young and cocksure Adama (Luke Pasqualino), call-sign Husker, gets thrown into a covert op during his first âmilk run.â Â Joining him is his surly and war-weary co-pilot Coker (Ben Cotton) as well as a Dr. Kelly (Lili Bordan), who draws the others into her work on a secret mission. Â Hit the jump to watch latest episodes and read a brief spoiler-free summary of the action.Episodes 5 and 6 have really raised the bar, and I'll admit I'm really starting to get invested. Â The first slice this week drops us right back into the center of battle (which is a little disconcerting, gathering ones bearings among all of the shaky cams, whip pans and explosions) but also includes a classic Battlestar moment that champions the greater good. Â Meanwhile, our ragtag trio find themselves potentially stranded on a remote and hostile planet that (naturally) includes a few twists.Once Episode 6 gets going, the series finally quiets back down and starts injecting some of the original Battlestar's humor, and starts to give a better sense of the main characters (Coker has the worst luck, for a start). Â There's also the introduction of a potential animal / machine hybrid which frankly sounds like the setup a Syfy original movie (Mechanical Alligators ... In Space!). Â Bottom line: things are really starting to get good.[EMBED_YT]https://www.youtube.com/embed/J3ytt0Fp3To?rel=0[/EMBED_YT]
