Some very intriguing news out of Netflix today, most specifically for anyone who has ever said, "Eat shit, Bear Grylls." Following the success of Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, the streaming service will debut a new interactive series titled You vs. Wild starring the British survivor-man. Here's the exact description, courtesy of Netflix:

In You vs. Wild, viewers join survival expert Bear Grylls on exciting adventures all over the world. Dense jungles, towering mountains, brutal deserts, and mysterious forests await, with tough decisions around every corner. In this groundbreaking interactive adventure series, you make all the decisions and whether or not Bear succeeds or fails is totally up to you.

Man, do I have questions! The series isn't live, obviously, so am I to understand the production made Bear Grylls do/eat every possible scenario out there in the jungle, good or bad? How...hard will I be able to make Bear Grylls fail here? I'm not suggesting Netflix is going to give me the option of flinging Bear Grylls off a cliff, but they're not not making it sound like you have the option to quite literally murder noted explorer Bear Grylls.

Here's what the man himself had to say in a Netflix statement:

"I'm so proud to deliver this first-of-its-kind live-action interactive series, really giving viewers an all-access pass to explore the world and its landscapes in my boots," he said. "The stakes are high in this one!"

At the very least, this tracks with the recent report that the streaming service will be doubling down on interactive content after Bandersnatch. Netflix reported the Black Mirror as a success—seeing as how they don't release numbers, guess we'll have to take their word for it!—with VP of product Todd Yellin noting we should "expect over the next year or two to see more interactive storytelling. And it won’t necessarily be science fiction, or it won’t necessarily be dark."

Check out the (interactive!) trailer for the eight-episode series below. You vs. Wild debuts on Netflix on April 10.
