CBS Films has given us 5 clips for their upcoming film, Beastly. The film – directed by Daniel Barnz (Phoebe in Wonderland) – is a modern reimagining of Beauty and the Beast, which places the classic tale in a high school setting. Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number 4) stars as a popular handsome high school student that finds himself turned into a beast, who then has one year to find someone who can love him so that he can reverse the curse. The film also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Neil Patrick Harris, and Mary-Kate Olsen. Beastly is set to open on March 4. Hit the jump to watch the clips:

Seventeen year old Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) is the spoiled, shallow and incredibly popular prince of his high school kingdom. Entirely captivated and empowered by his own physical appearance, Kyle foolishly chooses Kendra (Mary-Kate Olsen) as his latest target for humiliation. But things are not as they seem and the disgraced Kendra, a witch masquerading as a high school student, enacts the perfect revenge. She transforms Kyle into someone as unattractive on the outside as he is on the inside. Now he has one year to find someone to love him, or he will remain “Beastly” forever. To break the spell, Kyle must discover a beauty who can see past the surface. Most highschool girls date duchebags with tattoos on their face already. But it probably would of hurt their brain to much to actually TRY a real re-imagining of Beauty and the Beast.
It looks like NPH is the only thing that could try and save this horribly acted movie.

i think beastly is the most beautyfull movie and book ever! lets just say to be distinct ive never read a book or seen a movie ever before in my life! its been a gift to be out of the dark.
