We’ve been provided with the first teaser trailer, poster, and a few images from director Ben Ketai’s horror film Beneath. Coal mines are scary enough places when everything’s going right, but the terror level jumps up a few notches after a collapse traps the crew 600 feet underground; it’s only a matter of time before they turn on each other in a desperate bid to survive. This teaser leaves out the dialogue, opting instead to let the music and camerawork take viewers down into the depths of the mine and follow along on the inevitable descent into madness. It proved an effective decision, as Beneath has been chosen to be the opening film of Screamfest, starting October 8th.
Beneath stars Jeff Fahey (Lost), Kelly Noonan, Joey Kern (Electric City), Brent Briscoe (Parks & Recreation), Mark L Young (We’re the Millers), and Eric Etebari (Lincoln Lawyer). Hit the jump for more.
