We know Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) well, but how about Jimmy McGill?  As revealed in this brand new teaser for the Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul, the show will begin five years before Saul meets Walter White (Bryan Cranston), back when he was going by the name Jimmy McGill.

The piece doesn’t come with much new footage, but creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan do pose a few questions that could tease the trajectory of the show, namely, how do you become Saul Goodman?  In the promo, Jimmy announces that he’d rather not represent guilty people because it comes with too much aggravation, but of course, they’re Saul’s bread and butter when we meet him in Breaking Bad, so what sparked that change?  We’ll probably have to wait until the show kicks off in February 2015 on AMC to find out, but for now, hit the jump to watch the latest Better Call Saul teaser for yourself.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for Better Call Saul:

The series is set six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and, often, against Jimmy, is “fixer” Mike Ehrmantraut, a beloved character introduced in ‘Breaking Bad.’ The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “Criminal lawyer.” The series’ tone is dramatic, wove with dark humor.
