Black Panther is currently dominating the box office around the world, surpassing expectations at every turn, and breaking freaking Star Wars records in the process. What we have here is a bonafide success, and as I discussed in my glowing review of the film, the not-so-secret ticket to Black Panther's triumph is writer-director Ryan Coogler's bold, inspired vision and his unwavering command as a filmmaker.

Never has that command been more clear than in a new behind-the-scenes video from Vanity Fair, which offers an in-depth analysis of how Coogler crafted Black Panther's standout action sequence -- the South Korea-set casino fight. He's only breaking down a snippet of the sequence, but Coogler's offers so much insight the video runs nearly ten minutes long, offering insight on everything from fight choreography, to blink and you'll miss it CG enhancement, to the costume design -- a couple wow facts: Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Guriri are dressed in the colors of the Pan-African flag and costume designer Ruth Carter 3D printed Nyong'o's gorgeous dress.

What I love about this video is how clear it is that Coogler put his whole heart, mind, and soul into making this movie -- and boy does it show on screen. No detail is haphazard, no movement unplanned. The payoff is one of the best Marvel movies yet. Get the full break down of the fight scene, and Coogler's insane eye for detail, in the video below.
