We’ve already seen a few images and a teaser trailer for the forthcoming animated series adaptation of Blade, but now the January 13th premiere of the new anime is right around the corner, and now there’s a new teaser trailer to get you psyched. While it takes a lot for me to truly get excited for an anime product (it’s just not my style), the action does look like it’s going to be pretty killer, and since it’s following everyone’s favorite vampire hunter (sorely needed in these Twilight Saga clogged days), it could very well be worth checking out.

Check out the new teaser trailer after the jump. Blade premieres January 13th.

Here’s the new teaser trailer for Blade courtesy of G4:

Here’s the official synopsis for the animated series adaptation of Blade:

Harold Perrineau voices Eric Brooks, the supernatural Daywalker known as Blade, making his animated series debut with more action, terrifying villains, and bloodthirsty monsters than you’ve ever seen before. Following in the steps of other hit Marvel anime series, Blade offers viewers 12 half-hour weekly episodes destined to leave you wanting more, exclusively on G4.

Blade’s mother was bitten by a vampire while pregnant, imbuing her unborn son with vampire strength and a thirst for blood, but without the vulnerability to sunlight. A master of weaponry with a desire to avenge the death of his mother, Blade finds himself in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia in an effort to take down the evil villain, Deacon Frost. With vampire hunter Makoto at his side, they will stop at nothing to destroy Existence, a vampire organization with roots deeply embedded in Asia.

Why is all of Marvel’s creativity being outsourced from Japan? Or should we blame Disney for this one? I guess going to Japan allows them to dabble in more adult-oriented entertainment without smearing the castle.

    Pliskin, out.

You want to watch basically a rough draft. American Animation style sucks. It is lazy animation. I couldn’t stand the Batman cartoon from the 90′s with the squared jawed Batman.

The Japanese anime style has more stylized action, more motion picture type camera placement and etc. The few and I mean few guys out there who prefer American over Japanese prefer a tricycle over a Ferrari. MORONS.
