You remember the controversial film Wetlands, right? If you didn’t see the movie, you might’ve gagged over the trailer that featured the grossest, closest shave you ever witnessed in a movie trailer. Carla Juri was the actress catching everyone’s eye — for better or worse — in that, and she apparently caught the eye of filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. The Sicario director is helming Blade Runner 2 and he’s tapped Juri for a role.

It’s unclear who (or what) Juri is playing, and neither Alcon Entertainment nor its distributor Warner Bros. are offering a basic plot. That said, there are a few small tidbits we’ve picked up: Blade Runner 2, still unofficially titled, will take place several decades after the original film, and Harrison Ford will reprise his role of Rick Deckard. Ryan Gosling is the new lead, while the cast also includes Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas (Knock Knock), and Sylvia Hoeks. Bautista announced his casting with a photo of him holding an origami unicorn, which sparked a debate among movie lovers over whether or not the replicant hunter was himself a replicant, and I’m wondering if the sequel will address this.

Juri also appears in the Sundance hit Morris from America, but Blade Runner 2 certainly marks her most high profile film to date. The sequel scheduled to begin filming in July ahead of its release date on October 6, 2017.
