BOARDWALK EMPIRE’s Final Season Trailer Heralds the End of an Era

When it premieres on HBO this September, the fifth season of Boardwalk Empire will have 13 episodes to bring the series to a close.  While that comes as sad news for fans of Steve Buscemi and his Atlantic City politician/gangster character Nucky Thompson, the good news is that at least the writers will be able to give the show a proper send off.  We got our first glimpse at the final season today thanks to a new teaser trailer that signals the end of an empire.  For more on the show’s conclusion, be sure to check out Steve’s recent interviews with stars Vincent Piazza and screenwriter Terence Winter.  Hit the jump to take a look.
