When it premieres on HBO this September, the fifth season of Boardwalk Empire will have 13 episodes to bring the series to a close. While that comes as sad news for fans of Steve Buscemi and his Atlantic City politician/gangster character Nucky Thompson, the good news is that at least the writers will be able to give the show a proper send off. We got our first glimpse at the final season today thanks to a new teaser trailer that signals the end of an empire.
