Fox has released the trailer for Brian Percival's drama The Book Thief.  Based on the novel of the same name, the story tells of a young girl (Sophie Nélisse) who is adopted by a family in a World War II Germany, and uses her love of reading as a way to rebel against the rise of Nazism.  This trailer is trying so damn hard to get the movie into the Oscar race that it may as well have "For Your Consideration" slapped to the end of it.  The movie looks incredibly cloying, and not even the presence of Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson (who play the girl's parents) can save it.
