Deadline reports that Cooper is being sought after to star in Crowe's next untitled project.  It's looking like this film is a heavily reworked version of Deep Tiki, according to Variety's Jeff Sneider. The picture was announced as far back as 2008 with Ben Stiller and Reese Witherspoon attached, but scheduling conflicts pushed the project into oblivion.  The most recent update before today's news was the casting of Stone back in July.  The previous version of the story followed a disgraced military weapons consultant who is stationed at a dormant base in Hawaii to supervise the launching of a spy satellite.  Set against the tropical island landscape, he begins to discover both himself and the relationships he left behind through a combination of island lore and Cold War-era diplomacy.  At one point it was said to involve visions of Hawaiian Gods and sacrifices to the volcano...so...we'll see how much this one has been reworked.

In more of a straight-forward adaptation, Variety reports that Ifans will join a fresh and faithful retelling of Madame Bovary that emphasizes the "youthful and contemporary themes" of the novel.  Mia Wasikowska will play the title character, a woman who participates in extramarital affairs in order to climb the social ladder. Ezra Miller is set as her lover, Leon Dupuis, and Paul Giamatti stars as Monsieur Homais, who threatens to make the affairs public knowledge. Ifans co-stars as "Monsieur Lheureuse, a manipulative merchant who convinces the protag to buy goods on credit and borrow money from him, eventually leading to her financial ruin."

Lastly, Variety also reports that Wolff will join Palo Alto as "Fred, a gangly teen with a history of getting into car accidents after smoking pot with his pals."  The indie, set in the titular California city, follows a group of teens with nothing better to do than cause trouble.  Wolff recently filmed roles in Josh Boone's Writers and Paul Weitz's Admission, with Tina Fey and Paul Rudd.
