Earlier today I participated in video interviews with all the key people who made the brilliant, amazing, phenomenal, exceptional movie that is “Ratatouille.” In case you couldn’t put it together, I think the movie is an absolute work of art. It’s written and directed by Brad Bird, who’s previously made “The Incredibles” and “The Iron Giant” – two films that I love and adore.

Anyway, the reason for these new video interviews was to help promote next weeks DVD and Blu-Ray release of the movie. While I didn’t get a chance to try out the review copy that Disney sent us, I’ve heard that it's loaded with extras and it hasa stunning transfer.

So the interviews below are with Brian Dennehy and Andrew Jimenez. Brian is one of the voices in the film, and Andrew made a short called “One Man Band” as well as being a key person on “Ratatouille.” Both interviews are great, and as an added bonus… I got Brian to talk about “Righteous Kill” and working with Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro on the upcoming project. And if you’d like to watch some clips from the “Ratatouille,” here’s a link to an article from earlier this summer.

Again, “Ratatouille” is one of my favorite films of the year. I cannot recommend it enough.

Brian Dennehy

  • How did he get involved in the project

  • Did he have a favorite Pixar movie

  • Brian talks about how Pixar and the internet are changing things

  • I ask Brian about his role in Righteous Kill – the new Al Pacino/Robert DeNiro movie and what part he plays and what was it like working with them.

Andrew Jimenez

  • What was it like making a short film at Pixar – One Man Band

  • Pushing the technology further on the short

  • Would he like to direct a feature?

  • Doing the menus on Ratatouille DVD

  • Why is Brad Bird a genius?

  • Is he working with Brad on 1906?
