After just missing out on the Terminator: Genesis lead to Emilia Clarke, Brie Larson may now be adding a comedy to her slate.  Variety reports that Larson is in talks to take a supporting role in Judd Apatow’s next directorial effort Trainwreck, which will be a starring vehicle for Amy Schumer and is set for release next July.  Schumer wrote the script and stars as “a basket case who tries to rebuild her life, but still to be found are her boyfriend, a best friend/co-worker and a parent.”  Though Larson displayed incredible dramatic chops in Short Term 12, she’s also proven her comedic prowess with turns in 21 Jump Street and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.  The actress is currently filming a remake of The Gambler with a starring turn opposite Mark Wahlberg, and she’s also attached to lead directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris’ (Little Miss Sunshine) book adaptation The Good Luck of Right Now.

Additionally, Deadline reports that The Sixth Sense star and Oscar nominee Haley Joel Osment has landed a supporting role in the Entourage movie.  Series creator Doug Ellin is directing based on a script he co-wrote with Rob Weiss, as the film finds Vince (Adrian Grenier) starring in a high-profile Dracula movie.  Original cast members Jeremy Piven, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, and Kevin Connolly all return for the pic with Billy Bob Thornton also set to star.  Details concerning Osment’s role are unknown at this time, but the actor has become more prominent recently, taking a role opposite Kristen Wiig in the comedy miniseries The Spoils of Babylon and starring in Kevin Smith’s upcoming film Tusk.

Finally, Heat Vision reports that The Walking Dead comics creator and TV show producer Robert Kirkman is producing the sci-fi thriller Air, with TWD alum Norman Reedus and actor Djimon Hounsou set to lead.  Written by Christian Cantamessa (Red Dead Redemption), the film takes place in an underground cryogenic facility after a nuclear fall-out has rendered the atmosphere unbreathable.  The story centers on “two custodial workers who take care of the cryogenically sleeping personnel that are to re-establish society, but they struggle to preserve their own sanity and lives while maintaining the extremely fragile environment of the last livable place on earth.”  Chris Pasetto will make his feature directorial debut on the project.
