Fan-favorite Dragon Ball Z antagonist Broly has joined the party as a playable character in Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball FighterZ game, as revealed in a new trailer. The video itself is twice as long as the previously teased trailer for Bardock and it actually features some of the character's fighting moves and ridiculously over-sized appearance. The two Saiyan warriors will be part of an eight-character DLC that's coming to the hit fighting game as soon as this July, with a second DLC in the works. The other characters are rumored to be Normal Goku, Normal Vegeta, Vegito Blue, Merged Zamasu, 17, and Cooler. With the exception of the Broly and Bardock trailers, however, none of this information has been officially confirmed by Bandai Namco.

The inclusion of Broly in the game's DLC means that the numerous Dragon Ball movie characters are not out of bounds for Dragon Ball FighterZ; Broly never appeared in the anime, and his storylines in the movies took the combined efforts of all of our heroes to take him down. It's a great nod to long-time fans of the franchise and a fun addition to the fighting team, though we'll have to wait until a playable version is available to see just how Broly, Bardock and the others add to the gaming experience. Polish up your skills now because the game's about to change this summer!
