NBC is remaking The Munsters, and if you would like to get involved, there are a couple requirements. First, your given name must be Bryan. Second, your family name must be 6 letters and end in "er." Also, you must be super talented. Bryan Fuller, the genius behind Pushing Daisies, was the first Bryan to board the project. NBC ordered a pilot earlier this month after Fuller turned in the latest draft. Bryan Singer (Valkyrie) has reportedly kept tabs on the project throughout the development process, and now will join his fellow Bryan on the one hour drama. Singer will direct the pilot, and stay on as executive producer with Singer. More on the project after the jump.The pilot (er, "Pie-lette") for Pushing Daisies was a truly lush, visually spectacular hour of entertainment---pilot director Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black) won an Emmy for his efforts. Deadline says The Munsters likewise calls for striking visuals: "NBC had been looking for a top director to create the visual world of The Munsters circa 2011." Singer has proven the ability to create a pristine image on screen; has bountiful experience with creature effects on the X-Men movies; and may be tapping into the most unique visuals of his career on his latest film, the fairy tale Jack the Giant Killer. Without any attachment for The Munsters as a property, I can't wait to see this pilot.Singer previously directed the pilot (plus another season 1 episode) of House, and continues to executive produce the Fox medical drama. He even cameoed in the first season. Singer also directed the pilot for Football Wives, but ABC did not order it to series.Here is the description attached to Fuller's take on The Munsters:
