Warner Bros. is currently revamping the Looney Toons brand, a process which includes a new series on Cartoon Network and fresh 3D shorts in theaters. It appears that step number three will return the studio to feature territory, with a live-action/CG hybrid film centered around Bugs Bunny in development. According to Deadline, David Berenbaum (Elf) will pen the script; as of this writing, no producer has boarded the project, so this one could still be a ways away.
Bugs recently entered his eight decade of existence, first appearing on screen in the 1940 short A Wild Hare. He has starred in more than 163 animated shorts, and last graced the big screen opposite Brendan Fraser in 2003′s Looney Tunes: Back in Action. I’m gonna go watch Space Jam.
nothing is gonna beat SPACE JAM !
Desperation is setting in with the studio now that they made plans for this. LOLZ!
They just can't take a chance on a new idea or a new writer…I pity them.
Fact: If Space Jam had been released within the past five years, we'd totally have a sequel for it.
WHY GOD, WHY?!
Ehhhh…,what’s up Doc!
Space Jam sucks, Looney Tunes Back in Action for me is much better it’s a shame it flopped, but now is not a good idea for Warner Bros to make live action Looney Tunes spin off movies so leave it alone, Cartoon Network’s The Looney Tunes Show is so awful and unfunny it destroyed the Looney gang we loved now don’t bother watching it.
Ehh, how come Mac?
It can’t be dat bad can it.
And besides Space Jam was dat very Looney Tunes movie I made for the Warner Brothers and Michael Jordan back in 1996
