I love IMAX. While 3D is great for select movies, the one constant way to get transported into a movie is by watching it in IMAX. Nothing at home can replicate the experience of seeing a movie in the large screen format and it’s why more and more filmmakers are using IMAX cameras to shoot their movies. However, the one negative about IMAX and movies in general is that once a movie leaves the theater, it’s next to impossible to see the film again in a large screen format.
I’m aiming to change that.
As we announced a few weeks ago, I’ve been working with IMAX on a yearlong screening series that will focus on both classic and new IMAX films. The goal is to show a film every month with a filmmaker Q&A and, when possible, do a meet-and-greet after the screening for attendees. I want to make these events cool and special. However, since I know most of you won’t be able to attend these screenings, I’m happy to announce we will be filming the Q&As and offering them online so you can share in the experience at home. I’m so excited about this series and can’t wait to get started.

Which brings me to our second screening.
On January 13th at 7pm we’re going to show Captain America: The Winter Solider in 3D at IMAX headquarters in Los Angeles with Joe and Anthony Russo doing a Q&A after the screening! In addition to the Q&A, the Russo Brothers will do a meet-and-greet with everyone that attends for people to take pictures or sign autographs.
One of the reasons we can do this meet-and-greet is the theater we’re doing the screening in is very intimate. Trust me when I say if you attend this event you’re going to be very happy and sitting very close to the action.
