Sony Pictures has released a new featurette and three new images for Kimberley Peirce‘s new adaptation of Carrie. For those unfamiliar with the story, it centers on a bullied teenage girl (played by Chloe Grace Moretz) who discovers she has telekinetic powers, and decides to dish out retribution against her tormentors including her abusive mother (played by Julianne Moore). The featurette highlights the psychological horror at the center of the movie, and that by going through the story most people know (Brian De Palma‘s 1976 adaptation is a classic), it can provide a more tragic and disturbing undertone.
