Screen Gems has released a batch of new high-resolution images from director Kimberly Peirce’s upcoming new adaptation of Carrie.  For those unfamiliar with the story, it centers on a bullied teenage girl (played by Chloe Grace Moretz) who discovers she has telekinetic powers, and decides to dish out retribution against her tormentors including her abusive mother (played by Julianne Moore).  These images give a nice overview of Peirce’s take on the material, including a tease of the famous “blood dump” scene.

[Update: Screen Gems has also released a "viral video" in which they staged a telekinetic breakdown at a NYC coffee shop and filmed the reactions of the unsuspecting bystanders.]
