New Trailer for CASA DE MI PADRE Starring Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell CASA DE MI PADRE slice

Following a number of short, mini-teaser trailers for Casa de Mi padre, the first full-length trailer has finally arrived. The movie, entirely in Spanish, stars Will Ferrell as a Mexican rancher who must save his family’s farm while defeating a notorious drug lord and winning the hand of the lovely Sonia. This trailer is absolutely ridiculous, and that’s a very, very good thing. Ferrell is at his most goofy here, and the film looks to be a laugh riot. The supporting cast is surprisingly fantastic (Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna) and a swell appearance by Parks and Recreation’s Nick Offerman as the American in the film put a big smile on my face.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer. Casa de Mi Padre opens March 16th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Casa de mi Padre:

Armando Alvarez (Will Ferrell) has lived and worked on his father’s ranch in Mexico his entire life. As the ranch encounters financial difficulties, Armando’s younger brother Raul (Diego Luna) shows up with his new fiancée, Sonia (Genesis Rodriguez). It seems that Raul’s success as an international businessman means the ranch’s troubles are over as he pledges to settle all debts his father has incurred. But when Armando falls for Sonia, and Raul’s business dealings turn out to be less than legit, all hell breaks loose as they find themselves in a war with Mexico’s most feared drug lord, the mighty Onza (Gael Garcia Bernal).

Funny…but….something tells me this should have been a series of shorts on Funny or Die, but not a full length feature film…

I dislike the man and his movies more. I find it unfantomable that folks wanna see this man and his brand of movies.

If you think I’m going to pay $13.00, in this economy, to read English subtitles in some experimental/atrsy a** Will Ferrell movie then you sucking a long one homey!
I give this crap two weeks at the box office and a 2% ratings on

Good job terry at not only making yourself look like some sort of uncultured baboon, but also proving the sad fact as to why its so hard for comedic actors to branch out. What’s so wrong with subtitles anyway? I think Hollywood reaching out to Latinos is a great sign and I hope this film is a good piece of work worthy of its ambition.

Only funny part was Nick Offermans bit at the end, and mostly just because it really was his character from parks & recreation transplanted.

Haven’t liked Will Ferrel since shake & bake, a lot of our good comedians have lost their way.
