A few more Chappie clips, from director Neill Blomkamp’s upcoming sci-fi film, have hit these hard streets and I don’t know what to make of them. I still have no real idea what this movie is going to be like. Perhaps they could be of better service to those of you who are feeling more invested in this film than I am. I do know that at least this potential Alien sequel he’s working on will extract him from the visual template he’s been mired in for three films now.
Check out the Chappie clips below, via Sony Pictures. The film stars Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel, Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Sigourney Weaver and Sharlto Copley as the titular robot. Chappie opens in theaters on March 6th.
Here’s the official synopsis for Chappie:
Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there’s one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.
