Rachel Taylor-Minka Kelly-Annie Ilonzeh-CHARLIE'S ANGELS-slice

ABC has released a television trailer for its upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot. If you’re at all interested in the series, I would recommend hitting the jump to check it out as the 1:30 cut does a nice job of quickly introducing each of the “Angels.” In case you missed it, you can click here to check out a clip from the series that we posted earlier today. Charlie’s Angels stars Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor, and Annie Ilonzeh. The series will premiere this Fall on Thursdays at 8/7 CST.

Here’s the television trailer:

Here’s the official series synopsis for Charlie’s Angels:

Everyone deserves a second chance — even a thief, a street racer and a cop who got in a little too deep. After all, the three women who solve cases for their elusive boss, Charlie Townsend, are no saints. They’re angels… Charlie’s Angels.

Set in Miami, this fun, glamorous, action-packed take on the 1970s smash hit series introduces us to three new angels, all fearless detectives, head-turning beauties and close friends. There’s Abby (Rachael Taylor), a Park Avenue princess who became a world-class thief. Then there’s Kate (Annie Ilonzeh), a Miami cop who fell from grace, losing both her career and her fiancé. Finally there’s Gloria, a disgraced army lieutenant who has a way with explosives. When one of the angels’ missions ends in Gloria’s tragic death, Charlie persuades them to partner with Gloria’s childhood friend, Eve (Minka Kelly), a street racer with a mysterious past. They may not know each other yet, but one thing’s for sure — Abby, Kate and Eve will always have each others’ backs.

“Charlie’s Angels” stars Annie Ilonzeh (“General Hospital”) as Kate Prince, Minka Kelly (“Parenthood,” “Friday Night Lights”) as Eve, Rachael Taylor (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as Abby Sampson and Ramon Rodriguez (“The Wire,” “Daybreak”) as Bosley.

Written and executive-produced by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (“Smallville”), “Charlie’s Angels” is also executive-produced by Drew Barrymore (“Charlie’s Angels” movies), Leonard Goldberg (the original “Charlie’s Angels”) and Nancy Juvonen (“Charlie’s Angels” movies). It’s directed and executive-produced by Marcos Siega (“Vampire Diaries,” “Dexter”). “Charlie’s Angels” is produced by Millar/Gough Ink, Flower Films and Panda Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television.

Rachael is incredibly gorgeous. I love her. She’s really beautiful and a really sweet girl. Australian perfection doesn’t get much purer than her.

Instead of including three randomly chosen actresses whose names that they picked out of a hat, they should have cast three of the below young actresses who would have guaranteed success for the new television series:

Mischa Barton, Rachel Bilson, Sophia Bush, Miley Cyrus, Kat Dennings, Hilary Duff, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Ellen Page, Taylor Momsen, Emma Roberts, Jessica Szohr, Evan Rachel Wood

They made a poor choice with the actor cast as Bosley as well. One of the following actors would have been better:

Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Ricky Gervais, Simon Pegg, Eddie Izzard, Rowan Atkinson, Owen Wilson, Jack Black, Rob Schneider, Jeremy Piven, Mike Myers, Jim Carrey, William Shatner, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, Tim Allen, Chevy Chase, John Goodman, Billy Connolly, Danny DeVito, Robin Williams, Steve Coogan

      @ Dylan
While the performers you cite are quite talented, most of them wouldn’t opt to be involved with such a project. For starters, many don’t want to be bound to the long-term commitment that comes with television. Second, many of them have active film careers— and working television would work against their current career goals (by eating-up most of their available work hours). Third, the producers probably couldn’t afford the pay rate that the majority of the performers would (justifiably) request.

In short; you provide a good wish list… but that doesn’t mean the producers chose poorly when they chose from among their available casting options.

Talk about pulling names out of hats…

“Miley Cyrus, Kat Dennings, Ellen Page, Taylor Momsen, Evan Rachel Wood”

How did Ellen Page and Miley Cyrus end up in the same hat? The rest of your list is from the CW/Fox waste basket. Very original.

I’m sure Steve Martin or Alec Baldwin wouldn’t have wiped their butts with the script.

Rachael Taylor doesn’t have a good figure anymore and is a bad example to women around the country. She has lost so much weight and is too skinny now. Why did she do it? She was perfect before. Please put 10 pounds back on. She looks wasted. She should have a healthy model figure that boasts an ample cleavage, fuller legs and a fuller backside.

I just have one question: Why is Charlie American?

    • Jaime Court

      Because it is a reboot.

  • Lob Taylor

okay I must admit the initial promo pics sucked…big time.
BUT this really does look good…yeah I’ll be watching.

There sure was a lot of sexy walking in that clip. And as hot as all three of those girls are (I’m not sure which girl I like more, Minka Kelly or Rachael Taylor – it would have been Taylor if she was using her real accent)…I think I’ll be passing on this mess.
