Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans Talk THE AVENGERS, Deleted Scenes, and Little Kid Reactions

     May 1, 2012

With The Avengers opening this weekend in North America, Marvel/Disney recently held a massive press junket in Los Angeles and I was able to interview most of the cast, director Joss Whedon, and Kevin Feige (Marvel Studios President).   Every day this week I’ll be posting a new video interview from the junket.  The past few days have featured Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki), and today I’ve got Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Chris Evans (Captain America).

During the interview, they talked about their reactions to reading The Avengers script for the first time, deleted scenes, and what it’s like when little kids see them.  Hit the jump to watch.

Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans

  • After telling them how much I loved the movie, I ask their reaction to the first time they read the script
  • Do they have any stories of meeting little kids and having them freak out
  • Deleted scenes talk

You know what really irks me is the fact that this is an American movie and it opened overseas a week ahead of us. What is up with that?

    • Banes

Marvel do that since Iron man 2 they are releasing their movies a week before American release (except Captain America)
You are irked but once you see movie you will forgot everything.

    • Guns Of Navarone

Reel your neck your back in and calm down. Do you guys seriously have to have everything first?

By your logic, perhaps we should get Batman first because Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale are British?

      • Captain America

Shut it, limey! Nolan is English/American, Bale is Welch, and Batman is 100% American. You’re just still pissed because we ditched you and because RDJ put his rod in your pride-and-joy detective. Get over it. And BRUSH YOUR TEETH!!!

    • Chris

“Whats up with that” is simply releasing the movie in each country on the date that Disney feels will make them the most money.

It’s a marketing move to make kiddies like you more jealous and eager. Obviously it’s working.

But Batman is a character from an American company so by his logic wouldn’t that mean it would open here first?

  • Ur mom

    OMG Dont remind me!! >x’-(

  • amac

so much manliness in one video

  • Guns Of Navarone

    @Captain America

    3 things :

    1) It’s Welsh not Welch and being Welsh is still part of Britain i.e. British dumbass.

    2) We’re still pissed because you ditched us? – You joined in halfway through and then took the credit. We were doing just fine without you.

    3) RDJ as Sherlock? Don’t make me laugh, we have the far superior Cumberbatch as our Sherlock. You can keep your hammy RDJ.

    4) Brush our teeth? – If anyone’s teeth are going to be bad, it’ll be your own with the amount of dross you eat over there. You only have to have a look at the percentage of obesity in your country ;-)

“I wanted to tell you just how much i effin loved this movie”
    “Effin thank you”

  • ThorOdinson

CaptainAmerica English and Welsh are both Britain you fag, apart from that can’t really understand the rest of your retarded post. But yeah I don’t see that it matters if it opens a week later in the US than everywhere else, it’s not that long.

Just saw the movie last night. It’s friggin amazing, very well balanced with every character and really touches into the essence of what every character stands for. Not going to give any spoilers but you MUST stay not only after the main end animated credits for one reveal of something awesome but you MUST stay until the VERY END of the credits for one more little something funny. Let’s just say that the very very last scene could’ve been shot in one night and put into the film very easily last minute.
