Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth have been Avenging together for the better part of a decade, so you’d think the Avengers: Endgame co-stars would be pretty comfortable throwing some friendly barbs at each other. You’d be wrong, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a treat to watch them try.
The duo stopped by BBC 1 Radio’s ongoing series ‘Playground Insults’, which sees Hollywood superstars trade jabs at each other for the lols. If you missed previous installments, co-stars like Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, Margot Robbie and Will Smith, and Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt previously dropped in for the fun. And, my personal favorite, the delights of watching Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin gently throw down.
As for Johansson and Hemsworth… well, they just can’t seem to find a rhythm for it. They both get in a couple of good barbs — the best being Johansson’s dig at Hemsworth’s grandma sweaters — but mostly they are just “two kind people who only talk shit behind each other’s backs,” as Johansson put it. They might be the “worst players ever,” according to Hemsworth, but at least we can all agree that Thor has great biceps. You can watch their valiant attempt in the video below.
But that’s not all MCU stans! The Endgame cast has been knocking fun content out of the park during their press tour, and today also brought a fun video of Avengers-themed Pictionary. All I’m saying is, if I’m picking one Avenger to be on my team during drinking games, it’s definitely gonna be Chris Evans.
