The first teaser trailer for director Louis Leterrier’s Clash of the Titans has been released and it looks awesome. If you were nervous the movie would be some cheesy remake, think again. The film looks like it’s loaded with action, effects, and some awesome creatures. Also, I love the way the teaser trailer is all music with almost no dialogue. To any of the other studios checking this trailer out…this is how you sell a movie. Check it out after the jump and tell me you’re not excited.
Here’s the synopsis:
In Clash of the Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
Clash of the Titans gets released March 26th, 2010.

AWESOME!!!!!! Was hoping this would look good, love the original. I wonder if Pegasus, Kraken and calibos will be in this remake? Didnt see them in the teaser.
Also, why does perseus sport a modern haircut? Didnt the ancient greeks have curly bonnets? Skimping on wigs?
Looks great still, but the original still has a charm and style i feel may be missing here. The original felt authentic in its design and pacing etc. This feels like action without heart. Hopefully i am wrong.

Frosty, I think I have to disagree with you… This trailer is absolutely horrible! I watched it and the only thing I could think of was “this does not make me want to see this movie at all…”
The music part was fine but it is just a mish-mash of fraction of a second snipits of random scenes that give us no idea what the film may be about and a headache from jumping around at four clips per second… If they had jumped any faster this entire trailer would have been subliminal!! At least that way they could have buried it within another film’s real trailer and given it a purpose lol.
The way is plays right now, I’d just as soon pop the original CotT in the DVD player then head out to see this… I really hope their future trailers are made way better than this.

Looks like a cheap knock off of 300. Everything from the butt-rock aping NIN to the shots of dudes with spears flying through the air in slow mo. I think I’ll pass.

I could edit Conan the barbarian to make a trailer like that.
I like that movie, but i will very disapointed if this turns out to be a B-movie fantasy.

Nice to see they made a remake of the old 1981 movie. Will be cool to see it in true CGI. I am sure my daughter and I will be there to see it on opening night.
