As many of you know the video game to big screen adaptation of Assassin’s Creed is set to be released later this year. In a recent interview producer and star of the film, Michael Fassbender, revealed a little bit about the philosophy and production of the new film.

For some time now Universal Studios has been hard at work getting their interconnected movie monster universe up and running. Recently it was announced that Tom Cruise had joined their film The Mummy, and now they’ve added another superstar. Johnny Depp has signed on to appear in The Invisible Man with Now You See Me and Men in Black screenwriter Ed Solomon writing the script. The original film is based on the H.G. Wells novel of the same name, which told of a scientist who finds a way to become invisible, losing his sanity in the process.

The wait is finally over as Deadpool opens in theatres tomorrow night and it looks like Fox isn’t waiting long to get a sequel out there. Fox has already issued the official green light for Deadpool 2 amidst huge test screening numbers and positive critical reviews. Director Tim Miller and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick already have ideas in place for a sequel and although Miller is not yet signed to helm the sequel, the report claims Fox is intent on having the whole creative team back for the second round.

Speaking of Deadpool, actor Ryan Reynolds was recently doing the press tour in Germany and was asked about where we could see the Deadpoolcharacter go. Many will remember that more than two years ago, just before San Diego Comic-Con, Jeff Wadlow of Kick-Ass was announced to write a script for an X-Force movie that never actually materialized, but Reynolds is still keen on making it happen.

Fast 8 is already targeting an April 14th, 2017 release date, and we may now have an idea of what Universal is looking for in their next villain. Universal is focusing their sights on landing none other than Charlize Theron for the role. Theron is obviously no stranger to movies with high-octane car action, having just starred in Mad Max: Fury RoadFast and Furious 8 is being directed by Straight Outta Compton helmer F. Gary Gray.

Victor Edbom writes: My question is regarding the Bad Boys franchise. We know that Sony has announced release dates for two more sequels, one of them being Bad Boys 3 with a release date of February 2017. But there has been pretty much no updates at all since that announcement. The IMDb page for Bad Boys 3 has two writers attached to the project, along with a rumored director in Joe Carnahan. And as far as I know, neither Will Smith or Martin Lawrence has been confirmed yet, although Lawrence has several times hinted at the fact that the sequel is happening. With the release date being just one year away, you would think that things would get moving pretty soon. Have you heard any updates on this?

Frank Gilbert writes: So has Marvel given up completely on another Hulk movie? They teased something with Dr. Stern in the last movie and Coulson mentions in AOS that Blonski is still alive and may have escaped when S.H.I.E.L.D. fell. Seems like a waste that they wouldn't at least try to use The Leader to break the streak of sub-par villains not named Loki. Thoughts?
