Even before Disney acquired Lucasfilm, many have speculated if there was going to be an Indiana Jones 5 or not. Those who believe we will get an Indy 5 movie with Harrison Ford once again donning the brown fedora hat, have just been given a giant justification for their belief. In a recent interview with Yahoo Movies, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks were doing a Q&A for their new film Bridge of Spies when Spielberg said the following:

“We’ve gotta figure this out because now. Tom is tied with Harrison Ford: Harrison and I did four movies, Tom and I have done four movies. Now I’ll probably do an Indy 5 with Harrison. It’ll be five for Harrison, four for Tom… [Then] I’ve got to make another one with Tom, so that will be five for Tom, five for Harrison. And I think I’m going to leapfrog that way for the rest of my career. With Daniel Day-Lewis in everything else!”

While Mad Max: Fury Road was garnering the praises of both fans and critics alike, some people complained that the film felt like Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa was the real star of the movie rather than Mad Max himself. And so, when the topic of a possible sequel comes up, many wonder how big of a role Furiosa may play. Well, according to a recent interview with director George Miller, she won’t play any role at all… and least for now. Miller said the following:

“She’s not in the Mad Max [sequel] story, but in one of the stories there’s an interaction between [Max and Furiosa]. I can’t really say more than that because it’s still in progress.”

As many of you will remember it was recently announced that UFC superstar Ronda Rousey would star in the upcoming remake of Road House. At the time no director was mentioned… until now. According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, The Notebook and Alpha Dog director Nick Cassavetes will take over the film.

For several years now 20th Century Fox has been trying to develop an Escape From New York remake with very little movement. However, according to a story in The Hollywood Reporter that project has just taken a major step forward as it television’s Luthor creator Neil Cross has signed on to write the screenplay. Set in a dystopian future in the year 1997, the 1981 original starred Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken, an eyed-patched convict sent into a maximum security prison (formerly the island of Manhattan) to rescue the President.

First up is the new Steven Spielberg film Bridge of Spies. During the Cold War, the Soviet Union captures U.S. pilot Francis Gary Powers after shooting down his U-2 spy plane. Sentenced to 10 years in prison, Powers' only hope is New York lawyer James Donovan (played by Tom Hanks), recruited by a CIA operative to negotiate his release. Donovan boards a plane to Berlin, hoping to win the young man's freedom through a prisoner exchange. If all goes well, the Russians would get Rudolf Abe, the convicted spy who Donovan defended in court.

Next is Goosebumps. Upset about moving from the big city to a small town, young Zach Cooper finds a silver lining when he meets his beautiful neighbor Hannah. The teen is surprised to learn that Hannah's mysterious father is R.L. Stine (played by Jack Black), the famous author of the best-selling "Goosebumps" series. When Zach accidentally unleashes the monsters from the fantastic tales, it's up to Stine, his daughter and Cooper to return the beasts back to the books where they belong.

Tristan El writes: Hey Collider Crew I have a question about about Alfred Hitchcock's film The Birds.  It's my favorite Hitchcock film and heard some years ago there was going to be a remake staring Naomi Watts.  The last I heard though was Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes was going to produce it with Diederik Van Rooijen to direct the remake.  Do you know if this is true and if there will be a remake?  Thanks and bring on the filthy!

Andrew MacConnell writes: Hey Collider crew, love the show. My question is about writers. For people who have an interest in movies it always seems to be the directors who get the majority of the credit for the making of a film. Do the writers deserve to get more recognition than they do? While the director obviously has an important job bringing the whole film together, should the person(s) who wrote the story not also deserve credit too?

Emil Johansson writes: Could the next Ant-Man movie be about Hank Pym instead of Paul Rudd's character?
