THE COLLISION – Episode 22: Expectations and CLOUD ATLAS

     October 30, 2012

This week on The Collision, we talk about expectations both financial and cinematic as they relate to Cloud Atlas.  We examine possible reasons why the film failed at the box office, and how the movie challenges conventions of storytelling and style.  As always, we finish up with our recommendations.

I honestly think it’s a surprise that the movie bombed… i mean i was immediately sold upon watching the first trailer and when i showed it to my colleagues they were pretty much impressed and intrigued…and i honestly think The name wachowski siblings would convince people to go check out the movie but i guess their matrix heydays have been long since gone…which makes me sad indeed…

i hope this is gonna be a new cult favorite, though…and i can see this being the new “V for Vendetta” (It only got 63% on RT [I know u don't give a shit about RT, i mean neither do i, but at least it's put in the same situation....])

Great podcast, this is the first time i’ve ever heard of it, but i guess i’ll listen follow ur podcast feature every week from now on…
