This is either going to be the best or worst decision I’ve made this month.
While we have a lot of great writers on Collider, I’ve decided to try and find a Twilight super fan to review our copy of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on Blu-ray. Now I’m not looking for someone who thinks it’s the greatest movie ever made, and I’m not looking for someone who hates it either. I’m going to try and locate someone who loves the books and the films and can do an impartial review, while also writing about all the special features, commentaries, and the extra things on the Blu-ray.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, hit the jump:
Here’s the deal. I’m not going to mail you our only review copy just because you tell me you’d be good for the job.
Instead, if you’d like to review it, please email me at thecollidermailbox@gmail.com with the headline TWILIGHT SUPER FAN. I’d also like you to provide links to your writing online, or examples of your writing in the body of the email. And I don’t mean a few sentences. I’m looking for enough examples that prove you are the right person for the job. Keep in mind, I’ll probably get a number of people asking for this, so you’ve got to sell me on why you’re the right person.
Also, since the movie gets released soon on DVD/Blu-ray, I’d like whoever wants to do this to live in the USA so you can get the Blu-ray in time to review it before opening day.
Finally, if you’re reading this and think you know someone that would be perfect for the job, send them this article!

I am a huge movie fan and I like a wide variety of movies and I am also a fan of the Twilight series but out of the twilight saga movies, I actually liked Eclipse the least. I just felt that the movie fell short of expectations due in large part to the lack of a score. New Moon had been set up to deliver old school movie drama through a very elaborate score. Eclipse, although containing action sequences, was carried mostly by soundtrack music, which did not make the movie feel cohesive to me. Most fans consider it their favorite yet. I unfortunately don’t fall into that category. I happen to like the Indy quality of Twilight and the old time drama of New Moon. Perhaps in time, Eclipse will find a place in my heart, but for now I can only say that I feel it is just “okay”.
Breaking Dawn on the other hand, has me hyping in my head:

I’m a huge Twilight fan but trust me I’M IMPARTIAL. There’s plenty of stuff I don’t like in the movies and I’m sure there are a lot of Twilight fans like me. I’ll say it like it is.
Well I am a Huge Twilight fan and I can tell you a million reasons why this movie was good and bad at all the same time.I think they are looking for someone that is going to be Honest and say the truth, for example they really need to replace Kristen.lol Or maybe they are looking for someone that can say what they left out of the book or might have done wrong in the movie that didnt match the book. Just an idea.
i am a fan of all the books and the movies.. i don’t know what i takes to be selected but i’m giving it a try just the same. if i were given the chance to review the movie i will be totally thrilled and over whelmed… if i’m not chosen i’ll still support all the movies pluis the books..
I am a 37yr old mother of 2 girls. The books had already been released and Twilight had just been been shown in theaters. A friend of mine told me that I had to read the books and I explained that I am not into the novelty of vampires. She said no, I thought the same thing but was so shocked, so this lead me to the store to purchase the first one to see what all the hype was about. I read the book in 2 days. I couldn’t wait to read the others so I bought them on Audio and listened to all 3 in 5 days. I really had little sleep during that week. I decided it wasn’t enough so I went and bought the remaining books and sat down and read them all again in 9 days. So needless to say, my husband officially hates the series. LOL
Out of the 3 movies, Twilight is my favorite, it seemed more real and personable without all the “glam” and pretty true to the story. New Moon was great simply for the introduction of the wolf pack and giving a variety. Eclipse is my least favorite because I so many parts were cut out as the book is so much more detailed. I also don’t like all the “movie makeup”. Keep it simple.

I cant wait to see what the director has done! I’ve read all the books and I didn’t get to see the movie in theatre so I’m ready for the release!!! Of course I’d love to do this little writing job for ya, but not going to go above and beyond to sell myself! You should already know!

What if I send you the review of the movie with correlations to the book and after you send me the dvd I added the review of the extras. I have read the 4 books three times and I have seen all the three movies several times -about no less than 20 each, actuallly Twilight I saw about 100 times and I am not making this up. Still prefer the books but some of the movies intepretations won my heart too, specially Eclipse.
I’ve read the books and watched the movies. Are they the shining example of the finest literary and cinematic essence America has to offer? Not by a long shot…but they still entertain me immensely. I’d like to put forth my name.

I have to agree with Laylah, of all the three movies overall I liked Eclipse the least. In pieces the movie has some cool effects, but together it was cramming a lot and skewed on key points from the stroyline that at the end I was dissatisfied as a twlight reader
For eg:
1.The shapeshifter aka wolf and Cullens fight with the newborn was really cool but for all the effort and reving up to the moment it got over quick
2. Tent scene was captured very well.. ofcourse it hards to show Edwards mind-reading capability.
3. Jacob-Bella: Kissing scene, there is background to it and why she kissed Jacob. It just doesn’t captured well, which makes Bella looked like a confused teen-ager than a friend who is afraid to loose a very very close freind for ever
4. Seth’s contribution to Riley’s end and how Edward and Seth bond. It will be the crux of a lot of things to come in Breaking Dawn… Though the strength that Bella has got captured in the Victoria-Riley-Edward-Bella-Seth showdown.
5. It was good to see Jasper and Rosalie’s stories captured well
There was a lot going in the Book and the movie tied to capture it at best as they could… I think the major disappointment was hte victoria confrontation and the cullen+ woles fight with new born.. Oh yeah and the garaduation party at the Cullen, agreed bella is not fashionable but common-on she wouldn’t come in a plaid too.. especially with Alice around… I know the character is simple and we love her for that… but seriously!

Love the movies love the books and would love to live Bella’s life, potential deaths and all. I can definitely be honest about what I see. Because if someone does Twilight a injustice I will not at all hold back telling them that they screwed up.

GRADUATION.
graduation time…..crucial………..i was already under a lot of stress,with victoria and edward and jacob,i was supposed to be changing right now,but it was set back due to major changes,an army,i would snort in disbelief everytime edward would call me a danger magnet now i realize how true that is,an army,a damn army,comming to destroy me,the reason that i live for and my soon to be family.
But graduation is one right of passage that i have to go to,edward thinks so anyway,it’s not such a big deal for me,it’s minimal,small,and minor.
I have way bigger things to worry about,like my best friend who can’t get a hint or clue or the strait out solved mystery,when a mystery is solved it is done for,you don’t have to worry anymore,you can let it go,let it fly away without worry,edward’s and i’s love to jacob is a mystery he can’t see the clues and i don’t know how to explain it anymore,and i’m tired of explaining to air,it goes in one ear and his head manages to twist the simpliest things and turn them to something vicious.
Going back to the graduation issue,here i stand infront of my nearly empty closet,”stupid stealing vampires” i muttered angrily,god i had nothing to wear to graduation,i supprised myself this morning waking up at 7am when the graduation itself was 11pm,i expected alice to already be here when she saw me looking for clothes to wear,you know alice being a shopper holic and all,but no she wasn’t and i didn’t blame her,we all had a lot to worry over,it was now 9:30 and i was still standing here,in a rush of inspiration i reached at the back of my closet,maybe i might find something that alice had bought me,my hand grabed and pulled random clothings until AH HA,found it perfect,but it was a dress,i could deal with a dress only today,it was black on the chest and white with a large blue flower,edward would love it,and with that thought a blush,stay focus bella,i reached again this time on the floor to find the shoes,YES, i was on a roll,i sighed when i saw it,it was high, very high, but i could deal,i would be with edward all day,he would keep me from falling i hoped so anyway,the shoes were a Velvet fabric, open toe front, V T-strap with multi stud decor, back zipper closure, cushion footbed, and ribbed soles,LORD HELP ME, i put them aside to go and take a relaxing shower.
Shower over with i dressed in my robe and looked in the mirrow,plain………that’s all i could see……plain brown hair,plain brown eyes,plain pale skin,nothing exciting about me,but like alice said i should atleast try,get over my issues of self-confidence,since she put it that way,note the sacarsm,it’s not that easy,she wouldn’t know,she was a beautiful vampire,flawless,i looked like a cow next to her,alice was my best friend but sometimes she just didn’t listen,i grabed the only straighnter i had and went to work,curling,straighning and curling my bangs,when i was done my hair didn’t look like such a haystack it looked good,really good,if i said so myself,i looked at my bathroom clock 10am,perfect timing,i put my wonderful dress on and shoes, stedied myself on the counter so i wouldn’t fall,taking a few practice steps and suprising myself for the second time that day that i didn’t trip,that i actually walked,a bit like a swan,i hoped it would last,i looked in my full body mirror that of course alice had installed with much protest,the girl,no,lady,no,woman staring back at me was anything but plain,she had bouncy mahagonny hair and a beautiful dress and shoes,but she missing something,makeup and accessories,i really didn’t need those things but i had a feeling that even thought alice wasn’t here to help me she would be dissapointed,i walked to the bathroom and grabbed my bag of makeup that i rarely used and opened it,i put some black mascara and eyeshadow with a hint of blue,i put some pink lip gloss on and….done,i could hear charlie getting ready and sniffling,oh jeez,he was crying i cracked a smile,cheif swan was crying,i giggled and went in my room to my jewelry box my momhad giving me for my 17th brithday,i shuffled through some stuff and found a Charcoal Black Rose Flower Cocktail Ring Diamond CZ,it was beautiful and it matched my dress perfectly,i looked down and smiled at it,i found a necklace to match it,it was a Heart Black Diamond Sterling Silver Necklace ,just perfect,i went to the mirror again and gazed at myself,i beamed at my reflection,i was beautiful???? yeah beautiful,this was worth it.
“bella you done yet edward is here and we have to go” charlie yelled,i heard his footsteps coming closer to the door,he knocked “bella?” he said hesitantly,i smiled brieftly “yeah dad i’m done” my voice came out hoarse and charlie apperantly notticed “are you crying bells?” he asked,charlie was scared of tears,i sighed and gigled at the same time”no dad,can i ask you a question?” i asked,he took a moment to answer “sure?” he said warily,it came out more like a question,i opened my door and stepped out and stood before charlie “how do i look?” i asked twirling so he could see every side,i stared at his speechless face and giggled,at the sound he snapped out of it “you look wonderful bells,your not my baby anymore” he said somewhat tiery eyed “oh dad,of course i’m still your baby,tell you what you can strap me in a gurney any day” he laughed,his eyes shinig down at me,i decended the stairs carefully to see edward,my edward looking as beautiful as ever,i rushed over to him and gave him a passionate kiss until my head was swiming and i saw stars and my dad decided to appear at that time to clear his thoat,i pulled back my cheeks filled with unwanted blood.I pulled edward to the back of the cruiser and chalie went to the driver sit,the drive was silent,i stared at edward all the way to forks high school,wondering how i could diserve this magnificent creature,edward rolled his beautiful golden eyes like he knew what i was thinking and i stiffled a giggl,he looked so silly when he rolled his eyes,i took his hand in my hand and placed it in my lap playing with his finger.
Outside was a racket,people were everywhere,as soon as i stepped out of the police cruiser edward was next to me,”you look absolutely stunning” i blushed looking down at my shows for a few seconds,making sure so i don’t stutter when i answered him and make me look like an idiot, “t-t-thank you” well there goes my efforts,we made our way to the auditorioum,it was planned that we were supposed to have the graduation outside but thanks to forks sucky weather we couldn, thanks forks,again note the sarcasm,”GO BY YOUR FIRST NAMES PEOPLE,PAY ATTENTION’” mr.i-don’t-know-your-name yelled making a boy with a freckled face next to him flinch at the volume of his voice,he sudently in a flash turn to edward and i “SWAN UP FRONT,CULLEN IN THE MIDDLE MOVE IT” i frowned a little at the short almost balled man in front of me in a strip sweater vest and slacks with a vein popping out on his forehead,i gave edward a kiss on the cheek and turn to walk to my place trying to not draw attention to myself,”BELLLLLLA” whoops there it is,jessica stanley was standing infront of me in a red and white flower mini dress with black and red shows,”OH bella YOU look SO good I am so excited i am going to miss you soo much i can’t belive this you shows are beast…..” i zoned out after a bit of her rambling,i wondered why she was being so nice to me,maybe she was gratefull for the invite she got for the graduation party that i was supposingly throwing,”…….anyway i have to see ya….” and with that she left leaving sitting in my spot dazed………………….HUH??????
The parents had been sitted on the left side of the auditorium and the graduation was about to begin in 2 minutes exact,i had spotted mike newton,tyler crowley when i had spotted,lauren wearing gray on gray i muttered “this place is already gray god” i faintly heard edward chuckle,his manly inhuman,beautiful,chuckle,”HELLO everyone,my name is mr.ball i’m the principal her in forks high and i would like to welcome you,this is how its going to go down in this peace” uhmmm….just…no “well i will call your names and mr.banner will give you your diploma,stop for a picture,and get back to your sits so we could start our little award show alright” absolute silence “ok let’s get started” somebody way in the back yelled “FINALLY” some quick laughpter and the names were called “anna brinkley,ariana gonazalex,alyssa tecpile,alice cullen” not alot of chering from the students,kids can be so mean sometime,i watched as she struted up the stage,her smile not as bright as before,i gave a little wave and her smile was back,she wave right back at me jumping up and down and she back in her sit in not time,mr.ball called mor names with the letter “A” and started with the “B” “ben cheney,benjamine oliver,baren nobleman,bailey marksman,benedick bengley,boyce dweler,bella swan” an earspliting roar echod from the crowd as i stood up and walk to the steps on the stage making sure not to trip,i grabbed my diploma,stayed for a picture and went to my sit wishing that the crowd would settle down,edward had told me i was well liked but i never thought it was this much,i put my overly heated face on my face and tried to ignore the stares ……………..jesus christ………….
“time for the award show,first up if prom king and queen,the king and queen will sit in these chairs and give the awards to every other person let’s begin,prom king and queen are………………mr.edward cullen and ms.isabella swan” WHAT???? who nominated me,i didn’t want to win,OH GOD,i got up on stage with edward,we took a picture and sat down on our thrown,my face flush.
There was more award that edward and i won,like most beautiful couple,most sexiest couple,i thought my face would stay permenantly red when i won most sexiest girl in forks high,i mean what and honor,sarcasm!!!!!!!!!.

“bella you done yet edward is here and we have to go” charlie yelled,i heard his footsteps coming closer to the door,he knocked “bella?” he said hesitantly,i smiled brieftly “yeah dad i’m done” my voice came out hoarse and charlie apperantly notticed “are you crying bells?” he asked,charlie was scared of tears,i sighed and gigled at the same time”no dad,can i ask you a question?” i asked,he took a moment to answer “sure?” he said warily,it came out more like a question,i opened my door and stepped out and stood before charlie “how do i look?” i asked twirling so he could see every side,i stared at his speechless face and giggled,at the sound he snapped out of it “you look wonderful bells,your not my baby anymore” he said somewhat tiery eyed “oh dad,of course i’m still your baby,tell you what you can strap me in a gurney any day” he laughed,his eyes shinig down at me,i decended the stairs carefully to see edward,my edward looking as beautiful as ever,i rushed over to him and gave him a passionate kiss until my head was swiming and i saw stars and my dad decided to appear at that time to clear his thoat,i pulled back my cheeks filled with unwanted blood.I pulled edward to the back of the cruiser and chalie went to the driver sit,the drive was silent,i stared at edward all the way to forks high school,wondering how i could diserve this magnificent creature,edward rolled his beautiful golden eyes like he knew what i was thinking and i stiffled a giggl,he looked so silly when he rolled his eyes,i took his hand in my hand and placed it in my lap playing with his finger.
Outside was a racket,people were everywhere,as soon as i stepped out of the police cruiser edward was next to me,”you look absolutely stunning” i blushed looking down at my shows for a few seconds,making sure so i don’t stutter when i answered him and make me look like an idiot, “t-t-thank you” well there goes my efforts,we made our way to the auditorioum,it was planned that we were supposed to have the graduation outside but thanks to forks sucky weather we couldn, thanks forks,again note the sarcasm,”GO BY YOUR FIRST NAMES PEOPLE,PAY ATTENTION’” mr.i-don’t-know-your-name yelled making a boy with a freckled face next to him flinch at the volume of his voice,he sudently in a flash turn to edward and i “SWAN UP FRONT,CULLEN IN THE MIDDLE MOVE IT” i frowned a little at the short almost balled man in front of me in a strip sweater vest and slacks with a vein popping out on his forehead,i gave edward a kiss on the cheek and turn to walk to my place trying to not draw attention to myself,”BELLLLLLA” whoops there it is,jessica stanley was standing infront of me in a red and white flower mini dress with black and red shows,”OH bella YOU look SO good I am so excited i am going to miss you soo much i can’t belive this you shows are beast…..” i zoned out after a bit of her rambling,i wondered why she was being so nice to me,maybe she was gratefull for the invite she got for the graduation party that i was supposingly throwing,”…….anyway i have to see ya….” and with that she left leaving sitting in my spot dazed………………….HUH??????
The parents had been sitted on the left side of the auditorium and the graduation was about to begin in 2 minutes exact,i had spotted mike newton,tyler crowley when i had spotted,lauren wearing gray on gray i muttered “this place is already gray god” i faintly heard edward chuckle,his manly inhuman,beautiful,chuckle,”HELLO everyone,my name is mr.ball i’m the principal her in forks high and i would like to welcome you,this is how its going to go down in this peace” uhmmm….just…no “well i will call your names and mr.banner will give you your diploma,stop for a picture,and get back to your sits so we could start our little award show alright” absolute silence “ok let’s get started” somebody way in the back yelled “FINALLY” some quick laughpter and the names were called “anna brinkley,ariana gonazalex,alyssa tecpile,alice cullen” not alot of chering from the students,kids can be so mean sometime,i watched as she struted up the stage,her smile not as bright as before,i gave a little wave and her smile was back,she wave right back at me jumping up and down and she back in her sit in not time,mr.ball called mor names with the letter “A” and started with the “B” “ben cheney,benjamine oliver,baren nobleman,bailey marksman,benedick bengley,boyce dweler,bella swan” an earspliting roar echod from the crowd as i stood up and walk to the steps on the stage making sure not to trip,i grabbed my diploma,stayed for a picture and went to my sit wishing that the crowd would settle down,edward had told me i was well liked but i never thought it was this much,i put my overly heated face on my face and tried to ignore the stares ……………..jesus christ………….
“time for the award show,first up if prom king and queen,the king and queen will sit in these chairs and give the awards to every other person let’s begin,prom king and queen are………………mr.edward cullen and ms.isabella swan” WHAT???? who nominated me,i didn’t want to win,OH GOD,i got up on stage with edward,we took a picture and sat down on our thrown,my face flush.
There was more award that edward and i won,like most beautiful couple,most sexiest couple,i thought my face would stay permenantly red when i won most sexiest girl in forks high,i mean what and honor,sarcasm!!!!!!!!!.
Graduation ended and that was that,
I am a huge huge fan i love team edward i have posters all over my room i relly love all the movies and i cant wait for breaking dawn i have read all the books like 10 times wached all the movies hat are out like 20 times i have two copies of each book the white and red version and the black version. i really enjoid eclipse the main story line is.
For eg:
1.The shapeshifter aka wolf and Cullens fight with the newborn was really cool but for all the effort and reving up to the moment it got over quick
2. Tent scene was captured very well.. of course it hards to show Edwards mind-reading capability.
3. Jacob-Bella: Kissing scene, there is background to it and why she kissed Jacob. It just doesn’t captured well, which makes Bella looked like a confused teen-ager than a friend who is afraid to loose a very very close freind for ever
4. Seth’s contribution to Riley’s end and how Edward and Seth bond. It will be the crux of a lot of things to come in Breaking Dawn… Though the strength that Bella has got captured in the Victoria-Riley-Edward-Bella-Seth showdown.
5. It was good to see Jasper and Rosalie’s stories captured well
their gifts are:
Edward-read minds
Jasper-mood control
Alice-cand see the futer but can change when people change their minds
Rosalie Emmett Carlies Ems dont realy have any.

Since I am in Europe, that gets me out of the race, so this is pure comment without expectations
)). I like that saga, loved the books, liked the movies. The best one is, without any doubt, Twilight. It has the qualities that I like: the story without sugarcoat lines, the mood is right and appropriate story-wise throwout the movie, a bit dark, a bit seductive, a bit film noar, indy quality all the way. More heart, less money talk. The story is so so true to the book, the way I see it, no movie did a justice to the book it was based on, almost mission impossible, simply different type of experience. To bring in all detail from the book is simply unpractical.
New moon and Eclipse are Hollywood heavy. Effects, the make-up (I agree, in the Eclipse some of them just look silly, overselling), action scenes. The mood is still there but diluted. Story is again so so, working for the movies. Again, not really a crime. The essence is there so it works for us who read the books. Well, me anyway. What I missed are the landscapes that looked beautiful and real in Twilight but kind of fake in the next two.
As for the soundtracks-loved them! Again, Twilight is my favorite. More heart again. Eclipse is right next to it. All the good stuff.

I am a 36 yr old mom & am seriously one of the “BIGGEST” FANS!!! I have a poster of each Edward & Jacob on the wall above my bed. I have one of each…Bella, Edward & Jacob action figure dolls in the pkg still hanging on my wall w/ a twilight poster of all the characters above those. I read all the books in a week. Saw all three movies @ midnight the nights they came out. My next tattoo will be a Twilight series tattoo & the ONLY reason I don’t have that yet is b/c I have not decided what it will be. I am considering having a mural of Bella, Edward & Jacob painted on either my bedroom or living room wall but, I live in an apartment so I’m not sure it’s allowed. If I lived in a house almost all my walls would be covered in murals of the movies. All of my facebook aps are decorated in Twilight series decor. (Pet Society & Rest City) On Rest City my rest’s name is Twilight Palace & on Pet Society my kids & I created all the main vampire & wolf pack characters in all of our accounts. I’m in the process of buying porc fangs, I’m allergic to garlic & am pretty much nocturnal so my kids call me a vampire. I have Twilight shirts, bracelets as well. I LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL THE MOVIES! I was a little dissapointed in New Moon prob only cause that was my fave book but, Eclipse was my fave so far. I get into arguments w/ people who r Twilight series haters. My kids wanted to see vampires suck & I told them they couldn’t live w/ me & see that movie. When New Moon came out my kids & I had a New Moon party the first night it came out. New Moon Plates & napkins (my friends bought us those) I have been searching for someone in my city that makes Twilight series cakes but, have yet to find one.
I wish that the Director of Eclipse would have done all three movies. I am team both but, if I HAD to choose… Def TEAM EDWARD! I LOVE LOVE LOVE EDWARD & wish I could be Bella.

With this I mean I tell the truth about things that didnt lead up to my expectations from reading the Books. Other Twilight fans get mad at me all the time becasue I say how I honestly feel about a movie that I want to love.I get in alot of debates about the fact that I think they might have thought about replacing one of the mail actors in the movie.lol
