Graceful and gorgeous, Zoe Saldana is God’s gift to action movies. I am not totally convinced Colombiana will be a great movie, but there’s a chance, and a much higher chance Ms. Saldana will excel within. Take this new clip for instance, which shows Saldana’s assassin character Cataleya swimming with sharks, then sacrificing the bad guy with a pair of choice gun shots. If the movie is made up of a couple dozen scenes of this caliber, count me in.

In the action film Colombiana, Zoe Saldana plays Cataleya, a young woman who has grown up to be an assassin after witnessing the murder of her parents as a child. Turning herself into a professional killer and working for her uncle, she remains focused on her ultimate goal: to hunt down and get revenge on the mobster responsible for her parents’ deaths.

Excited with this pretty much the only thing that screwed up Transporter 3 was the terrible choice in female lead. Can’t wait to see what Saldana will do with this role. She’s already a great action lead, but I think with this one she’ll really bring something noones seen yet.
Zoe is a lovely lady, but “God’s gift to action movies,” Really? How about Gina Carano in Haywire?
