Comic-Con 2016 has unveiled its full Saturday schedule, and it’s pretty much business as usual. As it has the past few years, Warner Bros. kicks off Hall H’s big day with a mysterious two-hour block that will undoubtedly offer a look at DC films like Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman, and I’d be surprised if Justice League wasn’t also on the docket. But Warner Bros. will also be bringing Kong: Skull Island and who knows what else, as they generally pull out all the stops in touting their upcoming slate of blockbusters.
And then rounding out the day’s big movie panels is, as usual, Marvel Studios, which makes a triumphant return after sitting out last year’s Hall H panels. The logline is, as always, bare bones, but expect looks at Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at the very least, and possibly some major casting announcements as production on Avengers: Infinity War is set to get underway in December.
Elsewhere, we’ve got the big Aliens 30th Anniversary Panel, which is sure to be engaging given that James Cameron will be in attendance. And there’s also the Star Trek panel which brings together William Shatner, Scott Bakula, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, and Michael Dorn for a discussion on the franchise’s legacy. Moreover, always a highlight in Hall H is Entertainment Weekly’s “Women Who Kick Ass” panel, which brings together various women to discuss life and their experience in the industry. This year’s panelists include Morena Baccarin, Melissa Beniost, Tatiana Maslany, Lucy Lawless and Wonder Woman star Connie Nielsen.
And over in Ballroom 20, CW pretty much owns Saturday with a block of panels for its entire superhero lineup. Check out some of the highlights below and click here for the full schedule. And if you missed them, here are highlights for Thursday and Friday’s schedules.
A sneak peek at upcoming releases.
