For the most part, Hall H is devoted to the properties you’ve already heard of—the movies and TV shows that will fill up Comic-Con’s biggest room. But the real fun is finding the smaller stuff you might not have heard about otherwise. To support that pursuit, Comic-Con started the “Virtual Drive-In,” now heading into its second year at Hall H. This year’s edition will present Branded, Crave, and Coldwater. We have two Comic-Con promo posters along with details on the panel for Coldwater, an independent thriller about a man who, while house-sitting in Coldwater Canyon, “faces strange occurrences that lead him to believe he is not there alone, and someone or something is watching him.”
Director David Parker as well as stars Ivan Djurovic and James Duval will be in attendance to talk about the film at the panel on Thursday. They will premiere footage from two scenes in the movie in addition to the trailer and give out mini-posters. Hit the jump for the posters, press release, and trailer.
First, if you haven’t seen it, check out the trailer and it’s creepy tagline, “Make sure the past isn’t watching you.”
Here’s the press release:
San Diego, CA… “The Hills Run Red” Director David Parker returns to San Diego Comic-Con International on THURSDAY, JULY 12th at 6:15PM PT with a new first look at his horror/thriller independent motion picture “COLDWATER”. Parker joins up and comer star Ivan Djurovic and co-star James Duval in HALL H, as part of the Virtual Drive-In panel.
“In 2009, I had the opportunity to present my last picture The Hills Run Red in Hall H as part of Joel Silver’s Dark Castle panel along side films like Ninja Assassin and Sherlock Holmes.” Parker says. “It was an amazing experience, and I am thrilled to get the chance to return to Hall H to give the fans a taste of Coldwater.”
The panel will include an exclusive first look at two scenes from the highly anticipated thriller, in addition to the theatrical trailer. In addition, exclusive limited mini-posters will be given out. “COLDWATER” is about Andre (DJUROVIC), who is recovering from a recent accident, agrees to help his friend Robert (RICK IRWIN) by taking over a house-sitting job at an unusual home nestled in the heart of Coldwater Canyon. As the day turns into night, Andre faces strange occurrences that lead him to believe he is not there alone, and someone or something is watching him.
