Though last night’s Super Bowl will be the most-watched television program all year, this week is also host to another major event: the return of Community. The series’ fourth season has been subject to some downright cruel delays at the behest of NBC, but the show finally returns this coming Thursday and a new “epic” 2-minute trailer has been released online to mark the occasion. It basically looks like all of the season’s big event episodes (ie. the ones with costumes, movie/TV references, etc.) have been cut together for a sizzle reel, and I’ll admit I’m not fully convinced that the new showrunners will be able to execute said episodes with the same wit and originality that Dan Harmon did. Nevertheless, I downright love this cast so I’m sincerely hoping for the best.
Hit the jump to watch the new trailer. Community season four will (finally) begin on Thursday, February 7th at 8/7c on NBC.
While it's admirable to put yourself in harm's way in the defense of others, that altruism eventually ends with a blade between the ribs or being thrown into a prison cell. George R.R. Martin's gift to his characters just keeps on giving.
