Amber Heard (The Stepfather) will co-star with Nicolas Cage in Patrick Lussier's (My Bloody Valentine 3D) upcoming 3D action flick, Drive Angry.  THR confirms a report from last month that Heard was in talks to join the film.  The film, "centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway."  If you're not sold at the thought of a 3D movie starring Nicolas Cage as rage-driven grandpa, then I don't think you can recognize happiness in this world.

Heard will play, "a diner employee who partners with Cage to find his granddaughter."  I'm not sure if this will be a character worth cheering for since it's difficult to sympathize with a person who decides to hop in a car with a crazy Nicolas Cage at the wheel.

Drive Angry is slated to hit theaters on February 11, 2011.
