If the month of October puts you in the mood for Gothic horror stories or classic romance films, Guillermo del Toro’s latest has you covered either way. Crimson Peak, the dark fantasy film starring Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, and Jessica Chastain is set to kick off the Halloween season in a big way when it opens on October 16th. But regulation movie screens and standard camera lenses can’t capture the high detail and glorious gore of Crimson Peak, so it will also be rolling out in IMAX formats.
To that end, a new IMAX featurette for Crimson Peak is now available for your viewing pleasure. It features del Toro alongside his cast members as they talk about the lavish production that went into making the film, how it’s a throwback to classic studio productions of the mid-twentieth century, and how the IMAX format really opens up the possibilities for an immersive viewing experience.
