dan-aykroyd-imageFirst up from Variety comes word that comedic legend Aykroyd is in talks to join Tammy.  McCarthy makes her directorial debut with co-director/husband Ben Falcone in this comedy that centers on a woman who loses her job and learns that her husband has been unfaithful.  She decides to hit the road with her foul-mouthed, hard-drinking grandmother (Sarandon).  Duplass will play a man she meets on the trip and Aykroyd will play his father.  Aykroyd will next be seen in Steven Soderbergh’s Behind the Candelabra and then heard in Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return in which he voices the Scarecrow.

Deadline reports that Peña will join Russell’s untitled picture based on the true story of two con artists who were forced to work with a federal agent to turn the tables on other cons, mobsters, and politicians in the 1970s.  Peña will next be seen in Diego Luna’s Cesar Chavez biopic Chavez and is currently filming a voice role for DreamWorks Animations Turbo.

We previously reported that Clarke had joined Candy Store.  Here’s the press release regarding the addition of Sy:
