New High Resolution Images From THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

by     Posted 2 years, 249 days ago

Warner Bros. has released a few new images from director Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises that feature Tom Hardy as Bane, Batman and a new weapon, and Nolan with an IMAX camera.   While some of the images were already featured in this month’s Empire magazine, this is our first look at high resolution versions, and the image of Nolan with the IMAX camera is new.

Like most of you, I’m beyond excited for the final Nolan Batman movie and ecstatic that between 40 and 50 minutes will be in IMAX.  If you have the opportunity to see The Dark Knight Rises IMAX prologue before showings of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, do it.  It’s absolutely worth the extra money and you’ll wish the entire movie was being released in the large screen format.  Hit the jump for the new images.

The Dark Knight Rises gets released July 20 and stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Morgan Freeman.

Finally, I also just posted the first images and synopses for Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike starring Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum and Joe Mangianello, and new images and synopses for Project X, Bullet to the Head, Rock of Ages and The Apparition.  Click the links to check them out.

      SPY KIDS 4

seriously, could they not have used a design more in line with how she looks in Arkham City?

I think you look silly (probably won’t say what the C stands for, ho-ho-ho!)

In Nolan’s Universe, Selina Kyle probably walks into a fancy dress shop and takes the outfit, rather than calling herself Catwoman. And from trailer, it’s easy to see why Nolan picked Hathaway. Generic troll comments like yours aren’t welcome here, douchebag!

JB / December 22, 2010 Diggin’ the reviews and would love to get your take on some of the sacslics when you have the time.Do you think Nolan will fall victim to any of the classic superhero movie mistakes, e.g. increasing the number of villans, bringing in sidekicks, and so on?I’ve heard rumors of Riddler being the main villian. Any preference as to who might fill the role? What do you think the likelihood of Two-Face coming back?Ditto on the 3D v. IMAX sentiments.

Ann is so effing miscast. She reminds me of a high brow socialite. You know, the ones that find it hard to disguise their disgust when having to be around us regular folk.

    • Nick

carefull…that dangerously sounds like your describing Catwoman there…make no mistake cat woman is both high brow and mixes in any social circle…the high brow rollers down the street scum….sounds like you answered your own angst without even knowing it.

I’m guessing you’ve never read Long Halloween or Dark Victory. Or any Batman comic.

Loving everything TDRK except…. Catwoman. Seriously, I have no respect for Anne Hathaway as an actress and this doesn’t seem likely to change here. Michelle Pffeifer was just too good to top her.

And besides it’s not like Nolan casting desitions are always 100%. Remember Katie Holmes in Batman Begins?

Um, maybe we should give Anne a chance. I remember this same conversation going on when Heath Ledger was announced and look how that turned out. I for one have complete faith in Nolan’s abilities to pick actors.

Ugh. Anne Hathaway. I know, I know, you should never judge before you see the performance, but… Really? Her? I mean, she’s just so… pretentious. Her acting is always the same: decent enough, but forever with a nasty undertone of condescending snobbishness and self-importance. I don’t think this will be any better.

    • Nick

wow your obviously a world class acting coach and a close personal friend of AH to be making such statements. then again it does take one to know one as you’ve obviously proved here. Hathaway is stunning and as seen in these brief moments is every inch cat woman. Sultry seductive out for herself….nailed…..why don’t you pull your head in an maybe give professional acting a try before you make such ill informed jealous statements….peace

  • Jake

Let’s be honest for a second here, Anne Hathaway is not Heath Ledger.
