Did you like those seven new images from The Dark Knight Rises we ran yesterday?  Or how about those two TV spots?  Maybe you even enjoyed that editorial I did about what the future holds for the Batman franchise?  Even if you dug all that stuff, we know that TDKR Beast is never sated, so we have more images from Christopher Nolan‘s highly-anticipated superhero flick.

Hit the jump to check out the images.  The film stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, and Joseph Gordon-LevittThe Dark Knight Rises opens July 20th, so I’d expect at least 227 more images between then and now.

      • lolnolanfanboys

Seriously, I like how he says this when the movie hasn’t even come out yet. LOL

oh you saw it already? glad you liked it.

Marion Cottilard’s role still isn’t entirely clear to me.For that matter, neither is JGL’s.

Batman’s ‘RISE’ poster makes him look like he’s saying “sup”

  • sccitylhh

It’s great that although we’re starting to get inundated with images, trailers, and tv spots, we still really have no concrete idea what the hell is going to happen in this movie.

Just the way I like it.

    Finally a clear-cut, full-body shot of Catwoman!

    Oh, Anne.. <3

i think Marion coutilard character is an a dual role. I think she will play Jilian Maxwell/Talia Al Ghul. Jilian Maxwell was one of Bruce Waynes Many female interests. She actually was a golddigger whose true intentions are robbing bruce wayne of all his fortune. Alfred detects her strange nature but Bruce will not believe bcuz he is in love with her. I figured this out bcuz jilian’s character met Bruce at a costume party, hence the costume party Coutilard was spotted at in the second trailer. Bam! i gotchu Nolan! it took sooooo long forme too figure this out but I did.I feel accomplished.

OR… and this is going to blow people’s minds …she could be playing… are you ready???

      Miranda Tate! Huh :o

  • whoops

Except that they already released her character’s name eddy.

There is no comparison between Nolan’s Batman world and other superhero movies…simply because Nolan has taken the essence of what Batman was to begin with, which is a normal human being with a lot of money and traing but still very mortal, and he has refused to add any comic book elements…his films aren’t even superhero films, actually just the opposite. That’s what make them great, they aren’t the same old superpower stories.

That said, I wish everyone would stop comparing Nolan’s films to movies like The Avengers. Avengers is a GREAT superhero movie, but the two aren’t really even comparable. Nolan is asking deep, dark questions and his films are high drama. The Avengers is a spectacle that entertains the heck out of you.

I find Nolan hater’s unbelievable. He is making excellent films, his ideas are original (Inception, Memento, etc) and his direction is brilliant. I truly think some people can’t stnad his films simply because they are so popular, as well as excellent films.

    Haters gonna hate.
