The latest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises got fans all in a tizzy, but it still didn't provide many details on the plot.  We know the movie takes place seven years after The Dark Knight, Batman (Christian Bale) and Gordon (Gary Oldman) have become irrelevant in a peaceful Gotham, but now a new villain, Bane (Tom Hardy), threatens the safety of the city.  Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) factors in there somewhere. So can we get at least get a brief scene description?  Some morsel to tide us over until Bane possibly destroys another sports team?  Well you can find it after the jump but be warned: it's a big spoiler.  Less spoilery: a few new details regarding Catwoman's costume.  Hit the jump to check out the fresh info.  The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20, 2012.dark-knight-rises-bane-teaser-posterAgain: spoiler warning. Here's the scene description, which also includes new details on Catwoman's outfit (via Hero Complex):

Gotham City is a war zone. A ruthless madman named Bane has ripped away any sense of security and the citizens, haggard and clutching suitcases with refugee anxiety, sit behind barbed wire waiting to see what will blow up next. A hooded prisoner is dragged in – it’s Bruce Wayne, one of Gotham’s most famous faces – but the eyes of the crowd go instead to the woman in black standing at the top of the staircase.

“Sorry to spoil things, boys, but Bane needs these guys himself,” says sultry Selina Kyle, played here by actress Anne Hathaway, navigating the steps with stiletto heels that, on closer inspection, turn out to have serrated edges capable of leaving nasty claw marks in a fight. She also wears high-tech goggles that, when not in use, flip up and resemble feline ears.

I'm pretty sure the eyes of any crowd go to Anne Hathaway in a tight black outfit.  It's also interesting to hear that Gotham is now a "war zone".  The Joker was the twisted face of terrorism, but it looks like Bane is out to wage full-scale guerilla warfare on Gotham and its citizens.  But information is still scarce and I'll be interested to find out Bane's motives for turning Gotham City into ashes and why he doesn't much care for Batman.
