More Videos from the Set of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES; Listen to Tom Hardy’s Muffled Bane Voice

At this point, I’m convinced that movie websites are going to spoil everything about The Dark Knight Rises and I apologize for that. We’re not doing it to be dicks.  We’re doing it because people care about the movie and it’s our job to inform them about it.  There are five new videos from the set of the movie and I’m not going to tell you where they’re from or what’s in them.  I haven’t watched them because I would like to be somewhat surprised when I see it. However, I listened to the audio of Bane’s speech over the weekend and I think it’s important to point out that what he sounds like in this set video may not be how he sounds in the final movie. Tom Hardy has to shout his lines through a mask so the other actors can hear him. He’ll then re-dub his lines in ADR.

If you don’t really care about knowing what’s happening in every scene before it even begins then you can watch the videos after the jump.  The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20, 2012.

Set videos via our partners at Omelete.

Do the film community a favour and stop posting these. I’m with you – I’m refusing to watch them; I’m sure Christopher Nolan would prefer it that way also. Lets not rob the man of his right to surprise and therefore entertain us.

No one is forcing you to watch these videos. If you don’t have the will-power not to click on the video, I think the problem is more on your end.

      • Cori @

They just said, they weren’t watching them…

I saw Captain America a couple weeks ago and some assholes sitting behind me were talking about the Dark Knight Rises photos that featured some very spoilery material I would have preferred not knowing. Its not as simple as scrolling down.

Posts like this are why filmmakers like Nolan shy away from the online sites.

I really need to stop watching every single video taken on the set of this movie. It’s just so hard to resist….

In the las t vid Tom sounds like he can hardly breath with that thing on.

I’m gonna print of every photo leaked from the set and then turn the new Batman movie into a flick book. Think we’ll have nearly seen most of the movie at the rate people are posting pics/ videos.

  5. vxx @

Well, he is posting big spoiler warnings, so I’d say it’s a happy medium that we’ve found here.

Why is it that this is happening to frequently for The Dark Knight Rises? Is it simply because people are so excited for it that any opportunity to leak media regarding the film’s shoot is acted upon? I feel like this is just happening way too much…I feel bad for Nolan and Co.

I wish I could take a hiatus from the Internet until this movie comes out.

I know what you mean. I’ve been avoiding the spoilers over the past week or so, only looking at official pictures and such.

In the beginning, it feels as if all these leaks and spoilers are rather hard to avoid, but just give it a concerted effort, and it becomes rather easy. And, besides, the future you will thank you for it, when you sit down to watch it and don’t know every single plot point and “twist” and can truly enjoy the movie and any surprises that come along.

Yeah, I’m boycotting reading/watching every leak things about this movie, outside of official image releases.

Good call. I’m with you. Hearing about, and catching thumbnail glimpses of, pictures and videos dealing with Bane and Selina Kyle, was enough to say, “OK, I know too much already, time to stop, or else any sense of true enjoyment of this film will be completely ruined.”

It was really all those videos and pictures of scenes with Bane, and all the in-detail discussions that first started pushing me toward a blockout on all Dark Knight things that aren’t official. I was dumb to even look, and I know that people are curious and all (I was curious as well), but I really do think they’re going to ruin their own cinematic experience of seeing TDKR for the first time.

Hiro, you are a sane voice in the forest of fanboy nuttiness, and your very correct grammar and punctuation are a joy to read!

*Note to said fanboys: I know you overreact to people’s comments on your lack of English application (or education – I’m not convinced some of you legitimately graduated grade school), but for the sake of pleasant reading, know that it is still a valued trait for a number of us!

    What’s up with Bane’s voice?

  10. wildcatz @

I wouldn’t call these crappy noisy phone-cam shots spoilers. All we got out of this is that Bane addresses the crowd at a football game and, of course, there will be explosions.

  11. David @

Bane’s voice will be altered for the movie. He did sound a little like Bill Clinton talking though. lol

  12. Amar @

It is not a spoiler. Nolan is prolific filmmaker there would be lot of surprises despite of all called to- be-spoiler videos.

  13. Simon @

Hey you guys, how about calm down before you melt down!? Has nolan ever disappointed us? Why do you have to speculate on every bit? Has anyone gave thougt on the possibility of these “leaks” to be intended ones? Even so, let’s just enjoy these bits and shut up! And feel glad, as BAT-fans (as I am), to know that The Dark Knight is on the hands of the best director of the last 10/15 years? Why dont u feel glad and rested? Remember the hype around Heath Ledger and his Joker before the movie came out? Remember the result? Right… Just enjoy! Please!

  14. Nick S @

Im just shocked that videos from the film are making their way onto the internet. I assumed extras wouldnt be able to have cameras or camera phones on them during shooting. Nor would the crew.

And I feel that websites should tone down on the amount they post but ultimately it is the fan’s job to decide whether to watch or not.

Cant wait to see the movie next summer! And I will be one of those people who will refrain from looking at unofficial photos and videos so that I can enjoy the film!

  15. Nothin better to do @

Remember David Prowse? Calm down about Bane’s voice!!!

I don’t mind seeing bits and pieces of set footage…it’s no different than seeing random parts of a film in the trailer, which gives away small elements of the plot. The problem is when people jump to conclusions, make assumptions and take all this stuff out of context, instead of just enjoying the opportunity to witness the process of film making.

The final story will be told with Nolan’s camera…not everyone else’s shaky camera phones from hundreds of feet away.

  16. EmmaLove @

Pete this is ridiculous!! You cannot control what people talk about when they happen to be standing near you in a movie theater…..if you happen to find out spoilers TOO bad AND if they mentioned it and it you CHOSE to look it up that is still your fault!

If you got a problem with these pics feeling they are spoilers or ruining the movie for you …..go do something else… but stop trying to shoot the messengers with your invalid points.

  17. D.G. @

The person who posted these videos is a rat. I was there for that scene and it was wicked awesome. The rat has shown zero respect for the filmmakers, their privacy, and the general magic of cinema. Call me an idealist. I call him a rat.

    Helloooooooo! La la la…
