Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcote (Neighbours) are in talks to join Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows starring Johnny Depp.  As we previously reported, Depp will play vampire Barnabas Collins in Burton’s adaptation of the 1960s gothic TV series.  Deadline reports that Haley is up for the role of conman Willie Loomis who, in the series, attempts to swindle the Collins estate only to be turned into Barnabas’ lackey and whipping boy.  The role was originally played James Hall and later John Karlen.  As for Heathcote, she’s reportedly in negotiations for the role of Victoria Winters, the young governess of the Collins estate.  On the TV series, Victoria was played by Alexandra Moltke.

With filming set to begin in April, expect more casting news on this project in the days and weeks ahead.  The real news will be if Tim Burton decides to not cast Helena Bonham Carter.
