With so many big releases this holiday season from directors like Steven Spielberg, Cameron Crowe, and David Fincher, the alien invasion flick The Darkest Hour is in danger of being lost in the shuffle. In order to keep the counter-programmed movie in the conversation, Summit has released a new viral video that features one very unlucky reporter getting killed by aliens on camera. The film’s aliens are unique in that they’re essentially invisible; they feed off of electricity so when lights and electronics start flashing, it’s time to get a move on. If you missed Steve’s set visit coverage, check out his interviews with producers Timur Bekmambetov & Tom Jacobson, Emile Hirsch, Joel Kinnaman, Max Minghella and Olivia Thirlby, and director Chris Gorak
Hit the jump to watch the video. The Darkest Hour opens in 3D December 25th.
