On Saturday morning I attended a special Director’s Guild breakfast in Hollywood. Now before you go thinking I was actually invited to have food with the five nominees for this year’s Director’s Guild Award….I wasn’t! What I was invited to do was stand on the red carpet and interview who ever wanted to talk to me after the breakfast ended.

And with demand for any “Dark Knight” sequel news on everyone’s mind, I figured if Chris Nolan was going to walk any red carpet, it was going to be this one. And I was right. After avoiding every red carpet for the last three months, Mr. Nolan did walk the carpet and pose for pictures.

Unfortunately, he didn’t want to answer any questions on camera. And the same went for David Fincher. The two people I was really hoping to talk to didn’t answer any questions.

But, I did manage to videotape the five nominees as they posed for pictures and figured you might like to see it. After all, when are you ever going to see these five people together and posing for pictures except at the DGA.

So here’s the video. I did manage to talk to director Ron Howard and that interview will be online in a few minutes.
