With the sneak preview of Luck coming on December 11th, and the official premiere of the series following on January 29th of next year, executive producer David Milch already has a comfortable home at HBO. However, his deal just got a little sweeter as THR reports HBO has crafted a new exclusive multiyear deal with Milch and his Redboard Production banner to develop TV series and films based on the novels and stories of William Faulkner. Milch and his company have a pact with the William Faulker Literary Estate to produce films and TV series based on Faulkner's work which includes 19 novels and no less than 125 short stories. That's a hell of a lot of source material for TV and films. HBO's deal allows them a first look to finance, produce and distribute any of the projects. Some of Faulkner's has already made it to the big screen in decades passed, but this is the most high profile deal to adapt the author's classic works in a long time. No specific projects have been announced yet, so stay tuned.
